Project Scope: Trehel provided preconstruction and construction services for the 9,500 square-foot, two-story existing law enforcement center for the City of Clemson, originally built in 1996. The new expansion and renovation project features the construction of a new 6,800 square-foot, two-story addition with load-bearing concrete block structure, cast-in-place concrete foundation walls, elevated slab on metal deck, and fire-rated roof trusses. In addition, the scope includes fencing to enhance site security, architecturally aesthetic bollards, and site retaining walls to transition to the existing grade and create a new entrance, along with K-9 friendly covered and fenced area. Renovations to the existing facility provided enhanced security, upgraded energy efficiency, updated finishes, and a new modernized dispatch area.
